Assistant Vice President Engineering Lead

Role Overview: You will be joining DWS as an Assistant Vice President Engineering Lead, where you will have the opportunity to be part of an industry-leading firm with a global presence. Your role will involve managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure, including analysis, development, and administration. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for developing engineering solutions to accomplish business goals, ensuring reliability, resiliency, maintainability, and reusability of solutions, and participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Developing engineering solutions to achieve business objectives - Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing - Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions - Architecting, developing, and maintaining UI components using React.js and JavaScript - Defining and enforcing best practices for UI development, coding standards, and performance optimization - Collaborating with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend developers for seamless interfaces - Driving code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing processes - Contributing to architecture and design decisions for scalable frontend systems Qualifications Required: - Overall experience of 8+ years with hands-on coding in Java & frontend development - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, node.js, and React.js - Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, and responsive design - Knowledge of UI frameworks/libraries like REACT/ANGULAR/VUE/NEXT - Familiarity with Data Structures, Algorithms, REST-based Architecture, Design Patterns, and Principles - Experience in cross-browser, mobile-first development and unit testing - Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably GCP) - Proficiency in GIT, Jenkins, CICD, Gradle, DevOps, and SRE techniques - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant field - Technology certifications from leading cloud providers Additional Company Details: DWS offers a range of benefits including best in class leave policy, gender-neutral parental leaves, childcare assistance benefit, sponsorship for certifications, Employee Assistance Program, comprehensive insurance coverage, and more.
