Assistant Purchase Manager / Purchase Executive

The Assistant Purchase Manager / Purchase Executive at Fairfield by Marriott Coimbatore will be responsible for assisting in managing work, projects, policies, and standards for purchasing across departments. You will work alongside the Executive Chef to ensure quality and profitability in all aspects of purchasing, including food, beverage, and controllable items. Your duties will include ordering food and beverage based on business needs, enforcing inventory rotation, maintaining budgeted costs, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards as per brand guidelines. You will be required to communicate effectively with kitchen staff, restaurant management, and vendors to coordinate deliveries and ensure timely production. Additionally, you will be responsible for checking invoices, maintaining inventory controls, completing administrative tasks, and calculating food and beverage inventory figures. It will be your responsibility to enforce proper safeguards for the security of storeroom assets and ensure accurate administration of all invoices while adhering to bookkeeping procedures. Furthermore, you will demonstrate and apply accounting knowledge to purchasing operations, keeping up-to-date with relevant information and processes to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards. You will also submit reports in a timely manner, monitor taxes, and achieve financial goals set for the department. Your role will involve providing direction and assistance to other units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures while communicating relevant information to supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates.
