Assistant Professor of Sociology

GLA is looking for Assistant Professor - Sociology in the Department of Law to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching: Delivering lectures, seminars, and discussions on various sociological theories, methods, and topics to undergraduate and potentially graduate students.

Curriculum Development: Designing course materials, syllabi, and educational content aligned with the department's objectives and advancements in sociology.

Research Activities: Engaging in research projects, publishing scholarly articles, papers, or books, and presenting findings at academic conferences within the field of sociology.

Student Mentorship: Advising and guiding students in their research parojects, theses, or dissertations at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Academic Service: Participating in departmental meetings, contributing to academic committees, and assisting in administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

A Ph.D in Sociology or a closely related field with a research focus aligned with the department's expertise.

Demonstrated research achievements, such as publications in reputable sociological journals and evidence of ongoing or potential research projects

Teaching experience or a strong potential for effective instruction in various sociological subjects

Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey sociological concepts, theories, and methodologies effectively.
