Job Summary

The Assistant Professor (Community Health Nursing) will deliver theory and field-based teaching, supervise community postings, guide student research, and ensure academic compliance with INC/TNNMC standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Community Health Nursing for B.Sc, PB-B.Sc, and M.Sc Nursing programs.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and evaluation tools.
• Supervise students in community postings: PHC, CHC, sub-centers, schools, urban & rural health units.
• Guide community surveys, family studies, health education, immunization, and national health program activities.
• Maintain field work records, clinical evaluation sheets, and attendance.
• Guide UG/PG research projects and assist in departmental academic activities.
• Support HOD in documentation for inspections, accreditation, and committee work.
• Mentor students and promote public-health ethics and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• M.Sc Nursing (Community Health Nursing) – Mandatory
• Valid TNNMC Registration
• Minimum 3 years teaching/clinical experience (preferred)

• Effective field supervision and teaching skills
• Good documentation and reporting abilities
• Communication and community-interaction skills
• Ability to guide surveys, statistics, and research activities

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience)
