Assistant Professor in travel tourism

Assistant Professor in Travel & Tourism typically plays a multifaceted role in both teaching and research. Here are the main responsibilities associated with this position:

1. Teaching and Curriculum Development

• Course Delivery: Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in areas such as tourism management, hospitality, sustainable tourism, travel operations, etc.
• Curriculum Development: Develop new courses or update existing syllabi, ensuring they meet current industry standards and incorporate emerging trends.
• Student Assessment: Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and project work. Offer feedback to students to help them improve.
• Practical Exposure: Design and organize field trips, workshops, and guest lectures to give students real-world exposure.

2. Research and Publication

• Research: Conduct academic research in the areas of tourism, hospitality, and related fields like sustainable tourism, destination marketing, tourism policy, etc.
• Publications: Publish research papers, case studies, and articles in peer-reviewed journals.
• Collaborations: Work with industry partners and other institutions on collaborative research projects.

3. Student Mentoring

• Academic Guidance: Provide mentorship to students for academic and career development.
• Project Supervision
