Job Description — ECE / Electrical Engineering Faculty

Institution: CGC University, Mohali

Position: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor

Employment Type: Full-Time

Qualifications & Experience

-Professor: Ph.D. in ECE / EE or closely related field, with minimum 10 years of experience (teaching / research / industry)

-Associate Professor: Ph.D in relevant discipline with ~8 years experience

-Assistant Professor: Master’s degree (M.Tech / MS) in ECE / EE with 2-3 years of teaching or industrial experience; Ph.D preferred

-For research-oriented roles, strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is a plus.

-Good programming skills (especially for roles involving embedded systems, signal processing, AI) are required for some ECE positions.

Roles & Responsibilities

-Teach UG / PG courses in ECE and EE.

-Prepare course material, lesson plans, lab manuals, and presentations.

-Conduct lab sessions, guide students on practical experiments.

-Supervise student projects, dissertations, and research work.

-Publish research in reputed journals, attend academic conferences.

-Contribute to curriculum development, assessment design, and academic planning.

-Participate in departmental academic activities, workshops, and seminars.

-Mentor students and junior faculty.

-Help with accreditation and quality assurance processes (like NBA / NAAC).
