Assistant Professor / Head of Department \u2013 Fashion Design

We are seeking a passionate and accomplished individual with strong academic credentials and industry experience in Fashion Design \/ Fashion Management . The ideal candidate will lead academic delivery, foster creativity, mentor students, and contribute to curriculum development while keeping pace with modern trends and technologies in the fashion industry.
Key Responsibilities

• Teach core and elective courses in Fashion Design and related disciplines using innovative teaching methodologies.
  

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons effectively using modern digital tools, multimedia platforms, and design software.
  

• Guide students in creative projects, portfolio development, and research work.
  

• Contribute to academic and departmental growth, including curriculum enhancement and collaborative initiatives.
  

• Integrate real\-world fashion trends, design technologies, and digital advancements into course content.
  

• Organize workshops, guest lectures, fashion shows, and industry interactions to enrich student learning.
  

• Provide academic leadership in departmental activities and support faculty coordination if serving as HOD.
  

• Maintain updated knowledge of teaching methods, emerging design trends, and academic best practices.
  Qualifications
  

  • Educational Qualification: First\-Class Master\Degree in Fashion Design \/ Fashion Management or a related discipline (minimum 55% marks).
    

  • Preferred: Ph.D. (awarded or pursuing) or significant fashion industry experience.
    Experience
    

    • 3\5 years of teaching and\/or professional experience in fashion, design, or related creative industries.
      

    • Experience in academic coordination, curriculum design, or departmental administration preferred.
      Technical & Professional Skills
      

      • Proficiency in design software and digital tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CLO 3D, CorelDRAW).
        

      • Strong understanding of fashion business environment, sustainability, and emerging design trends.
        

      • Expertise in digital teaching platforms, online classrooms, and multimedia\-based instruction.
