Assistant Professor - Fashion Communication

Role & responsibilities

• Teach and mentor students in:
  
• Branding, brand identity, and brand positioning
  
• Consumer insights, segmentation, and tone of voice
  
• Social media strategy, campaign planning, and content calendars
  
• Fashion PR, influencer marketing, and media outreach
  
• Editorial writing, advertising copy, and press release development
  
• Guide students on:
  
• Brand communication strategies and integrated campaigns
  
• PR decks, media kits, and content marketing plans
  
• Social storytelling and digital content for fashion brands
  
• Evaluate assignments and provide structured, industry-relevant feedback
  
• Strengthen industry exposure by:
  
• Inviting industry professionals for guest lectures, reviews, or masterclasses
  
• Facilitating live projects, brand collaborations, or PR/media exposure
  
• Supporting student networking and internship readiness (as applicable)
  
• Conduct or support marketing and communication workshops such as:
  
• Social media and campaign strategy workshops
  
• PR and influencer engagement sessions
  
• Brand storytelling and digital branding bootcamps
  
• Collaborate with the department on curriculum enhancement and academic planning within contract scope

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Fashion Communication, Fashion Marketing, Mass Communication, Branding, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field
  

Experience:

• 2–5+ years of experience in branding, PR, content creation, digital marketing, or fashion communication
  
• Teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferred (industry professionals welcome)
