Tasgaonkar Institute of Medical Science invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry . The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to undergraduate medical students, guiding research activities, and contributing to academic and institutional development in accordance with the norms of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and MUHS . Key Responsibilities: Teach Biochemistry to MBBS students through lectures, practical demonstrations, and interactive sessions. Prepare academic content, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with MUHS and NMC standards. Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic planning. Guide and mentor students in research and academic activities. Engage in academic research and publish in peer-reviewed journals. Maintain student records, attendance, internal assessments, and results. Participate in institutional development activities, audits, and NAAC/NMC/MUHS inspections. Contribute to continuous improvement in teaching and learning processes. Eligibility Criteria (As per NMC/MUHS Guidelines): MBBS with MD (Biochemistry) or M.Sc. PHD from an NMC-recognized medical college/institute. Must be registered with the Medical Council of India / Maharashtra Medical Council. Prior teaching experience in an NMC-recognized institution is preferred. Show more Show less
