Job Description

JD for PPC 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning and Scheduling:

    Developing and implementing production plans and schedules to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization. 
  • Inventory Management:

    Managing raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory to ensure smooth production flow. 
  • Process Optimization:

    Identifying and implementing improvements to production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. 
  • Quality Control:

    Ensuring that sheet metal products meet quality standards and customer requirements. 
  • Coordination and Communication:

    Collaborating with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and sales, to ensure seamless operations. 
  • Reporting and Analysis:

    Generating reports on production performance, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement. 
  • Safety and Compliance:

    Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment and ensuring adherence to industry regulations. 
  • Resource Management:

    Managing resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize production output. 
  • Continuous Improvement:

    Implementing and monitoring continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency. 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge:

     Strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes, including cutting, bending, welding, and finishing. 
  • Production Planning and Control:

     Expertise in production planning, scheduling, and control methodologies. 
  • Inventory Management:

     Knowledge of inventory management principles and techniques. 
  • Quality Assurance:

     Understanding of quality control procedures and standards. 
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving:

     Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions. 
  • Communication and Interpersonal:

     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and coordination. 
  • Leadership and Management:

     Proven leadership and team management skills. 
  • Software Proficiency:

     Familiarity with relevant software, such as ERP systems and scheduling software. 
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma:

     Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is often preferred.
