Assistant Motor Underwriter

The Assistant Motor Underwriter position requires a candidate with a strong skill set including Communication, Data Entry, Skilled Multi-tasking, Interpersonal Skills, Data Analysis, Underwriting, Insurance Regulations, and Pricing Models. As the Assistant Motor Underwriter, your primary responsibility will involve issuing policies in Insurance company Portals once the CRM team has closed the deal with customers. You will be in charge of entering accurate details in Praktora to issue Debit notes. This role will require close collaboration with insurance companies and internal teams to review client applications. Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include: - Policy Issuance & Documentation: Following up with insurance companies for issuing approved motor insurance policies and ensuring accuracy of details entered in the Portal of Insurance companies and in Praktora. Your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be based on: - Average number of policies per day (Standard KPI Value: 15) - Number of Reconciliation entries in a month (Ideal KPI Value: ZERO) To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and competencies: - Technical Expertise: Knowledge of motor insurance underwriting and pricing, along with understanding of benefits, make, and models of vehicles. - Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy of vehicle details such as Engine/Chassis Number, etc. - Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with internal teams and insurers. Key attributes that will contribute to your success in this role include: - Data entry skills: Entering correct insurance company, customer, vehicle details, and premium details. - Ability to multitask and handle high volumes of underwriting requests. - Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with insurers and internal teams.,
