Assistant Merchandiser

As a Merchandiser cum Designer for Western-Apparels, you will play a key role in optimizing the buying cycle and ensuring timely fulfillment of product launches. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the Merchandise team to optimize the buying cycle - Optimizing current processes or setting up new processes to improve procurement strategy - Ensuring on-time fulfillment by launching all products on the launch date - Sharing detailed tech packs and quality standards with vendors - Working with vendors for development sampling and initial costs - Monitoring supplier performance, conducting audits, and addressing any issues - Collaborating with clients to ensure design packages are complete and accurate - Preparing and presenting regular reports on key performance indicators and sourcing metrics - Training and mentoring team members for professional growth - Conducting training & development of vendor quality teams - Evaluating new tools and technologies to automate processes & reporting - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with business goals To qualify for this role, you should have: - 2+ years of experience in managing production or sourcing - A Bachelor's Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology or Engineering in Textile Technology - Exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations & processes - Technical understanding of pattern and fit development of garments - Knowledge of AutoCAD would be preferred - Experience in sample development and with offshore production exposure - Knowledge of advanced Excel & data visualization tools - Digitally savvy & adept at implementing new technologies & tools If you meet these qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, please share your resume to hr@samshek.com.,
