Job Title: Assistant Manager Sales Engineering (Fixture Business)

Location:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and technically proficient Assistant Manager – Sales Engineering to drive the Fixture Business. The role involves understanding customer requirements, preparing detailed techno-commercial proposals, and ensuring successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse component drawings and machine specifications (VMC/HMC) to understand customer productivity needs.
  • Prepare detailed costing and techno-commercial offers including:
    • Time studies
    • Fixture concepts
    • Tool selection
    • Pricing for fixtures, cutting tools, and machine accessories
    • Accuracy analysis and commitment
  • Ensure timely submission of proposals.
  • Travel across India for business development and client engagement.
  • Conduct techno-commercial discussions with customers and finalize orders.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings and hand over to design and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Sales & Commercial Responsibilities:

  • Prepare time studies, fixture and tooling concepts.
  • Cost estimation for fixtures, tools, and accessories.
  • Submit quotations and technical documentation.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales/order targets.
  • Follow up for advance payments and ensure timely collections.
  • Prepare order handover documents and coordinate project kickoff with CFT.
  • Allocate budgets in SAP.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and SOX standards.
  • Follow up for advance payments and ensure timely collections.
  • Interact with tooling and bought-out part vendors for techno-commercial offers.
  • Impart training to trainee engineers.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    • BE (Mechanical / Production Engineering) with 5–10 years of experience
  • Experience:

    • 5–10 years of relevant work experience in Proposal/Application Engineering in the machine tool industry.
    • Minimum 5 years in pre-sales activities, preparing techno-commercial offers for turnkey solutions.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical understanding of machining processes and productivity solutions.
  • Ability to independently tackle customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
