Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and maintain the Supplier Quality Management Systems.

2. Lead for the supplier qualification, auditing, and onboarding processes.

3. Ensure suppliers meet PPAP, and ISO 9001/IATF 16949 requirements.

4. Drive root cause analysis and corrective action (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) for supplier non-conformances.

5. Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (PPM, & Quality Scorecards).

6. Collaborate with Design (Technical) and Procurement teams during the product development phase to ensure1 supplier alignment.

7. Lead initiatives for cost reduction, defect prevention, and Quality improvement activities.

8. Perform on-site process audits, process FMEAs, and quality system audits.

9. Oversee the inspection of incoming raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per defined standards and specifications.

10. Ensure conformance to dimensional, visual, functional, and documentation requirements.

11. Strong knowledge of GD&T, 7QC, MSA, SPC, FMEA PPAP & APQP.

12. Manage and monitor incoming inspection processes, including sampling plans (AQL), and PPAP reviews.

13. Non-conformance materials findings communication to Procurement and Supplier Quality teams and lead the actions.

14. Maintain inspection records, test reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) in compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 / IATF 16949).

15. Liaise with Procurement, Design, Production, and Warehouse teams to align on Quality expectations and issue resolutions.

16. Proven experience in QA management within the automotive, Diesel Engine industries or Heavy equipment industries.

17. Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process by validating initial incoming quality requirements.

18. Manage, train, and develop a team of incoming inspectors and technicians.

19. Ensure the availability and maintenance of inspection tools, gauges, and equipments (e.g., CMM, micrometers, hardness testers, contour tracer. etc.)

Preferred candidate profile

B.E in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Production and Mechatronics with 9 - 12 Years or

Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Production and Mechatronics with Minimum 12-14 Years.
