Assistant Manager, Product Engineering

Metso is looking for an Assistant Manager (McCloskey Product Engineering) to support the Engineering team in developing and optimizing McCloskey International's equipment product range. As part of the team, you will contribute to concept generation, design, manufacturing, and continuous quality improvement processes. Key Responsibilities: - Support the Engineering team in developing and optimizing McCloskey International's equipment product range. - Execute the development of high-standard manufacturing drawings and 3D models for products. - Create welding details for parts or assemblies and generate Engineering Bill of Materials for sub-assemblies. - Actively participate in concept generation for new product development activities and process knowledge of proto machine build & testing. - Analyze design and mechanical systems, develop quality and efficiency using benchmarking. - Prepare detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing and assembly processes. - Act as a support function to other relevant departments on ongoing projects and existing product range. - Complete any special projects as required and may be assigned to other areas of Operations based on business or customer requirements. Qualifications Required: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline with 12-15 years of previous industry work experience. - Proficiency in MS Office, 3D CAD experience (preferably Pro-Engineer or Creo), and 2D AutoCAD. - Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, sheet metal part design, and outstanding communication skills. - Command of English, attention to detail, strong team player, problem-solving, and time management skills. - Self-motivated, organized, and able to innovate and improve existing technology.
