Assistant Manager, Procurement Shared Services

Role Overview: The Group Procurement team at LSEG is currently undergoing a transformation to merge and enhance the procurement functions into a unified Group Procurement Team. The team's primary focus is on the commercial management of third-party suppliers, aiming to equip the team with the necessary skills to drive company projects and enhance LSEG's appeal as a business partner. Instead of viewing suppliers solely as a cost, the team recognizes them as a source of competitive advantage. Key Responsibilities: - Manage supplier spend amounting to approximately 2.2BN across about 5,000 suppliers - Concentrate on category management, sourcing, supplier relationship management, and business partnerships within master categories of spend like Technology, Services, and Corporate - Implement best-in-class procurement policies and processes through the Strategy & Performance centre to align with the overall strategy of the Group Procurement function - Commercial management of Technology Services, including IT and Business Outsourcing, Contingent Labour, and Strategic Consulting - Partner with business customers to offer flexible solutions that support short- and long-term strategic objectives at LSEG - Implement strategies under the guidance of Category Leads/Directors and Managers, focusing on sourcing, supplier management, and business engagement activities - Lead sourcing and negotiation activities, manage supplier relationships, monitor purchase requests, and ensure compliance with procurement processes - Engage with key partners across various functions within LSEG, maintain procurement systems and tools, and support contract management activities Qualifications Required: - Good experience in procurement - Strong negotiation skills - Effective communication abilities - Proactive approach to work - Strong IT skill set - Analytical capabilities - Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively within a team environment - Educational qualifications to a degree level - Desirable certifications in procurement operations - Knowledge of Agile SOW construction (Note: Additional company details were not included in the provided job description.),
