Job Description

Procurement Management

  • Identify and source required simulator spares, tools, and engineering materials as per operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with approved vendors for quotations, negotiations, and timely deliveries.
  • Prepare purchase requests (PR), purchase orders (PO), and maintain procurement documentation.
  • Track procurement lead times and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Liaise with Finance and the Engineering team for approvals and budget adherence.

2. Inventory & Store Management

  • Maintain accurate stock levels of all simulator spares, tools, consumables, and engineering materials.
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling, and classification of all inventory items.
  • Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and annual physical verification.
  • Monitor slow-moving and critical spares; create replenishment plans.
  • Maintain issue/return registers for tools and consumables.

3. Simulator Engineering Support

  • Coordinate with Simulator Engineers to ensure timely availability of spares during maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Keep track of simulator-specific consumables, updates, and repeat-use items.
  • Support planned and unplanned simulator downtime activities with required materials.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Update and maintain the inventory management system/software/logs.
  • Maintain documentation related to calibration, AMC spares, warranty items, and vendor agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and aviation training regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare MIS reports such as stock status, procurement tracker, consumption reports, and purchase summaries.

5. Vendor Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance based on delivery, quality, and cost.
  • Maintain an updated vendor database with pricing, contracts, and product details.

6. Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Implement inventory optimization techniques to reduce excess and expired stock.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement and storage processes.
  • Monitor and reduce wastage of consumables and materials

Preferred candidate profile

Education

  • Graduate/Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).

Experience

  • 3-6 years of experience in procurement, stores, or inventory managementaviation/engineering domain preferred.
  • Experience handling technical stores, engineering materials, or maintenance inventory is an added advantage.

Core Competencies

  • Strong understanding of procurement cycles, inventory management, and store operations.
  • Knowledge of engineering materials, simulator spares, tools, and consumables (preferred).
  • Excellent coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor handling, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
