ASSISTANT MANAGER PPC-FORGING

As a Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager in the PPC department of a forging industry, you will be responsible for preparing and monitoring the monthly production plan to meet customer requirements. You will oversee production control, planning, and scheduling programs to align with sales forecasts and optimize manpower and machine capacities. Your role will involve analyzing and planning production schedules, revising material inventories, and supervising transportation services for efficiency. You will coordinate production activities across departments to ensure targets are met in terms of both quantity and quality. Monitoring schedule adherence, tracking raw materials, job work items, and manpower availability on a daily basis will be part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate with the supply chain, stores, and production teams to track actual production and dispatches, identifying and addressing any gaps. Inventory management will be a key aspect of your role, involving supervision of warehouse stocks, managing timely deliveries to customers, and reviewing stock levels regularly. You will also be responsible for budgeting, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring on-time production to meet customer schedules. Familiarity with SAP and MRP systems is preferred, as well as experience in purchasing raw materials and formulating budgets for critical components. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will be expected to arrange monthly reconciliations with suppliers, interact with them as needed, and coordinate with procurement colleagues for material requirements. Maintaining minimum inventory levels of finished goods, WIP components, and other materials, while maximizing shop floor space utilization, will be essential. You will also be required to review annual budgets, control inventory levels, and ensure smooth procurement processes to support uninterrupted production.
