Assistant Manager - Material Planner

As a Material Planner at Emerson's India Pressure Management Business unit, your role is crucial in ensuring timely arrival of materials to prevent factory operation delays or line stoppages. You will play a key part in driving growth platforms and supporting operational pillars for long-term value creation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Promise optimistic ship dates to customer orders and ensure completion as per committed dates in coordination with cross-functional departments. - Review and release updated Product Prospectus based on consumption and forecast analysis guidelines every half year. - Identify and communicate challenges related to materials, lead time, capacity, quality, and resources to the management team. - Conduct day-to-day execution meetings with team members to ensure orders are completed on promised dates through collaboration and timely communication. - Review orders to be completed in n+6 weeks and collaborate with buyers to meet Plan versus Actual targets. - Drive monthly cadence reviews to address unpredicted execution challenges and implement preventive actions as per Pareto analysis. - Update material planning parameters quarterly to meet high service levels and prospectus lead time requirements. - Implement ASCP module and update ATP Oracle parameters to ensure efficient supply chain planning. - Analyze sales forecast versus plan and actual, participate in SIOP process meetings, and improve material availability for better lead times. - Manage work orders effectively by coordinating with collaborators for timely closure. **Qualifications Required:** - Achieve Promised Date based Service Level (PDSL) and Request Date Service Level (RDSL) targets. - Ensure products are delivered within Prospectus Lead-times. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field with a minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated proficiencies. - Knowledge of the valve industry. - Good analytical, communication, and presentation skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint. - Familiarity with Oracle applications of Betsy & Billy.,
