Assistant Manager Legal (Non-Maritime)

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

I. Litigation Management

  • Assist in managing civil and criminal cases, as well as arbitration matters.
  • Vet and ensure timely filing of pleadings in Courts, Tribunals, Fora, and with relevant Authorities.
  • Maintain and circulate up-to-date MIS (Management Information System) for all legal cases.

II. Non-Litigation

  • Draft and review a wide range of legal documents, including:
  • Agreements, MOUs, Lease Deeds, Trust Deeds, Letters of Intent
  • Service Level Agreements, IT, Marketing, Admin, and Outsourcing Contracts
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements, Powers of Attorney
  • Vendor-related notices and documentation across departments (Admin / IT / HR / Marketing / Projects)
  • Corporate policies and procedures, including for the Maritime Training Institute
  • Conduct primary due diligence including:
  • Title searches for property transactions (sale, purchase, acquisition, lease)
  • Assist in the execution, registration, and formalities related to such transactions
  • Handle applications for Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Conduct legal research on applicable laws, circulars, notifications, policies, and case laws.

Work Relations

  • Coordinate with internal departments to provide legal support across various functions.
  • Liaise with external vendors and legal agencies for contract execution and compliance.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

Experience

  • Minimum

    7 to 8 years

    of relevant legal experience

Compensation

  • Competitive CTC

    based on experience and qualifications
