Description
As an Investigator at HSBC, your role will involve conducting financial crime investigations in accordance with Investigative Reporting Instructions. You will assess potential financial crime risks, make appropriate referrals for action, and refer cases to designated Investigators for regulatory filing decisions. Your responsibilities will include preparing high-quality investigation reports, submitting timely summaries, and making recommendations based on assessments. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct effective and timely investigations into assigned cases, including those generated by transaction monitoring systems, FC-Unusual Activity Reports, escalated cases, and cross-border referrals. - Independently complete tasks, submit high-quality reports within SLAs, and ensure adequate record-keeping in the case management system. - Conclude investigations, make recommendations for further action, seek advice from Subject Matter Experts, and identify appropriate referrals. - Achieve and maintain quality and productivity targets, maintain production capacity, and produce high-quality case reports with proper foundation and recommendations. - Utilize media reports and relevant tools to gather information, identify customers involved in financial crime, and escalate cases as needed. Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of financial crime risk indicators. - Good communication skills for drafting summaries and conclusions. - Critical thinking and analytical skills for making informed decisions. - Experience in analyzing transaction data to assess potential financial crime risks. - Collaborative working style in a cross-border organization. - Motivated self-starter with the ability to work effectively under pressure. - Desirable: Prior experience in TM Operations, ACAMS or ICA certification.
