Job Description

Role Overview:

The incumbent will be responsible for managing and administering the organizations time, attendance, and leave processes in line with company policies and statutory regulations. The role ensures accurate records, timely reporting, compliance, and smooth employee experience regarding attendance and leave management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Time & Attendance Management

  • Oversee daily attendance records through HRMS/biometric systems.
  • Monitor shift rosters, working hours, overtime, and attendance regularization.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of attendance data for payroll inputs.
  1. Leave Administration

  • Manage employee leave records (earned, casual, sick, special leave, etc.) in HRMS.
  • Process leave applications, approvals, and escalations.
  • Track leave balances and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Advise employees and managers on leave rules, accruals, and statutory requirements.
  1. Policy Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and statutory guidelines related to working hours, leave, and holidays.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable records for internal/external audits.
  • Support HR in designing/reviewing leave and attendance policies.
  1. Payroll & Reporting

  • Provide accurate attendance and leave inputs to payroll team.
  • Generate regular MIS reports on attendance, absenteeism, leave utilization, overtime, and exceptions.
  • Highlight trends and recommend improvements to reduce absenteeism and improve workforce efficiency.
  1. Employee Support & Communication

  • Act as first point of contact for employee queries related to time & leave.
  • Educate employees/managers on processes, policies, and system usage.
  • Drive awareness and ensure timely submission of requests.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of time & leave management processes and statutory compliance (Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS/attendance software (SAP, Workday, Oracle, SuccessFactors, etc.).
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4 to 8 years] experience in HR operations/time & leave management
