Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager Quality & Analytics will play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and performance excellence across Accounts Payable (AP) operations. The position combines process quality assurance, data analytics, and governance oversight, focusing on driving efficiency and control through data-backed insights.

This is a role ideal for professionals from AP internal audit, R2R analytics, or e-commerce finance operations who excel at using Excel, Power Query, and Power BI to translate data into actionable process intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed and sampling-based quality checks across AP functions including invoice processing, validation, reconciliation, and payments.
• Monitor SLA and KPI compliance; identify deviations, risks, and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze error trends, process turnaround times, and rework patterns to recommend improvements.
• Integrate multiple data sources (trackers, ERP reports, quality logs) into consolidated dashboards.
• Design and maintain Excel and Power BI dashboards to present performance and control metrics.
• Partner with operations and finance teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support internal and external audit preparedness and ensure process documentation is audit-ready.
• Drive automation and reporting enhancement initiatives using Power Query, Power BI, and Excel macros.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Advanced Excel proficiency: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and dashboards; macros preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with data-driven thinking.
• Understanding of Accounts Payable workflows, SLAs, and control frameworks.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
• Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Exposure to SAP or ERP-based invoice processing systems preferred.

Qualifications & Experience:

• MBA, CA, Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or related discipline.
• 4–7 years of experience in AP operations, internal audit, process analytics, or quality assurance.
• Prior experience in a shared services, e-commerce, or audit/consulting setup preferred.

Preferred Backgrounds:

• Accounts Payable Internal Audit / Controls Teams
• R2R / Financial Analytics Teams with advanced Excel & reporting exposure
• E-Commerce Finance Operations (high-volume, exception-driven environments)
