Description
Role & responsibilities Lead the design and development of crushing, feeding, and screening equipment tailored to bulk material handling applications. Define design standards, methodologies, and innovation goals for the product line. Coordinate with Business Development to align design efforts with market needs and customer requirements. Review and approve detailed mechanical designs, layouts and component specifications. Ensure integration of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in equipment designs. Resolve complex design challenges related to vibration, wear, material flow, and structural integrity. Oversee the development of new models and variants of crushers (e.g., jaw, cone, impact), feeders (e.g., apron, belt, vibrating), and screens (e.g., linear, circular, trommel). Support customization for specific applications such as mining, aggregates, cement, and recycling. Guide prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs. Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, BIS, OSHA). Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, service, and sales teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Support installation and commissioning teams with technical documentation and troubleshooting. Collaborate with vendors for component selection and specification alignment. Supervise and mentor design engineers and draftsmen. Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement. Drive initiatives to reduce design and production costs through modularity, material selection, and process improvements. Analyze field performance data to improve reliability and maintainability of equipment. Stay updated on advancements in crushing, screening, and feeding technologies. Evaluate and adopt new design tools, automation techniques, and digital engineering practices. Preferred candidate profile Mechanical Engineer with experience in Core design in Material Handling Equipment Design working experience of products like Stacker-Reclaimer, Wagon tippler, Crusher, feeders, Conveyors ..etc.
