Position Name: Assistant Manager-Boiler Desk Operation

Location: Chaliyama, Jharkhand

Qualification: BE/B. Tech/Diploma-Mechanical

Experience: 6+ Years

Job Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the boiler desk for a 60MW power plant. Ensure all boiler parameters are maintained within operational limits while adhering to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor boiler systems through DCS (Distributed Control System) from the control room.
• Maintain optimal parameters for pressure, temperature, flow, and other critical operating conditions.
• Coordinate with field operators to manage boiler operations and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Analyze operational data to optimize performance, efficiency, and emissions.
• Identify abnormalities in operations and take corrective action to prevent equipment damage or safety risks.
• Support startup, shutdown, and load change activities for the boiler and associated systems.
• Maintain a daily operational log, reporting significant events, deviations, and incidents.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance team for scheduling and planning preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, permit-to-work systems, and safety protocols.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical/instrumentation issues related to boiler operations.
• Participate in regular training, audits, drills, and emergency response exercises.
• Suggest improvements for operational efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental norms, particularly emissions limits.
• Maintain communication with turbine desk, electrical desk, and utility desk for coordinated plant operations.
