Assistant Manager- BIW Production

The main responsibilities for this role include managing the production of assembly components with a focus on optimum utilization of all resources. You will be leading the cross functional team and ensuring effective coordination for achieving production targets as per the plan. It is essential to meet the quality requirements of customers and work towards reducing rework, rejection, and scrap. You will be responsible for monitoring the daily plans with shop managers, scheduling cross functional meetings to review progress, and optimizing the utilization of automatic and semi-automatic processes to minimize manpower requirement. Providing feedback to manufacturing planning, executing maintenance plans for all machines on the shop floor, and ensuring timely follow-up with Quality department, Customer, and Purchase department are key aspects of this role. Furthermore, you will drive and implement management systems like TPM, KAIZEN, manage industrial relations, maintain shop floor discipline, ensure adherence to safety procedures, and promote a harmonious work environment. Multiskilling team leaders and associates to eliminate dependency, as well as maintaining good housekeeping levels are also important responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have 5 to 7 years of experience for the Manager position and 2 to 5 years of experience for the Deputy/Assistant Manager role. A BE in Mechanical/Production is the preferred qualification for this position.
