Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
  • Present financial performance reports to the CEO and Board.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity and working capital.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Oversee preparation and finalization of financial statements in compliance with accounting

standards.

  • Ensure accuracy in general ledger, reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing.
  • Monitor accounts payable/receivable and cash flow management.
  • Implement internal controls and strengthen audit readiness.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Manage direct and indirect tax matters (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.).
  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns and statutory reports.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, auditors and consultants for assessments and audits.
  • Develop tax strategies to optimize liabilities while ensuring compliance.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Mentor the Accounts & Taxation team.
  • Collaborate with business units to provide financial insights for decision-making.
  • Support HOD-Accounts in budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation in accounting processes.

Regulatory & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with RBI, SEBI and other financial services regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records for inspections and regulatory audits.
  • Advise management on changes in tax laws and accounting standards

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Skills

• Chartered Accountant (CA).

• 2+ years of experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in financial services.

• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and tax laws.

• Experience in handling audits, tax assessments and regulatory compliance.

• Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills.
