Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable

Role & responsibilities

• Vendor bill verification and accounting correctly
• Manage vendor/ supplier relations, accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos and payment transactions
• Deduction of TDS at proper rates, creation of details for TDS return filling, verification of GST input credit
• Regular review and controlling of Creditors and advance accounts
• Coordinate with the treasury team for payment disbursements
• Vendor empanelment & onboarding in SAP
• Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent duplicate or erroneous payments.
• Ensure regular vendor reconciliation with GST2B report
• Act as a point of contact for vendor queries and payment-related clarifications.
• Maintain updated vendor master data, including banking and tax information.
• Plan and manage bi-weekly vendor outflow depending on the company and project cashflows
• Build and maintain positive vendor relationships through proactive communication of stakeholders
• Prepare periodic reports on accounts payable status, ageing,
• Monitor and track monthly vendor invoice collection against client invoicing, to minimize the tax outflow

Preferred candidate profile

• B.com/Inter CA/CMA with 2 -5 years of experience accounts payable section in Finance & Accounts preferably in real estate/Interior design/Design & build industry
• Working knowledge of TDS and GST is essential
• SAP ERP knowledge is essential
• Should be a good team player
• Should be able to communicate effectively with subordinates, managers as well as external people like consultants & vendors
