Job Description:

Overview: As the AGM/DGM of the Industrial Catering Organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all operational aspects of the catering business. Reporting directly to the Vice President or CEO, the AGM/DGM will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of catering services, meeting client expectations, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the industrial catering division, including procurement, production, distribution, and customer service.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and quality control measures.
    • Optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Client Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences.
    • Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively.
    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to identify opportunities for business expansion and client acquisition.
    • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Provide leadership and direction to the catering team, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members.
    • Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the catering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
    • Monitor financial performance metrics such as revenue, expenses, and profit margins.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
    • Menu Planning and Quality Assurance:

    • Oversee menu development and ensure the availability of diverse and high-quality food offerings.
    • Implement quality assurance protocols to maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
    • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues related to food quality or service.
    • Supplier and Vendor Management:

    • Manage relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms.
    • Ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies, maintaining adequate inventory levels.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns as necessary.
    • Health and Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, implementing measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Conduct regular inspections of catering facilities and equipment to identify and address potential hazards.
    • Provide training to staff on health and safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the catering, food service, or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and catering management software.
