Role Overview: As a Fashion Designer, your main responsibility will be to research current fashion trends and collaborate with the team to develop new product ideas based on research data. You will be designing sketches for new products, creating clothing patterns for mass production, and selecting fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures for each design. Additionally, you will oversee the production process, maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, and communicate technical design information for customer samples. Your role will also involve working with the design team to create clothes for upcoming seasons and developing CAD sketches to present to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Research current fashion trends and determine consumer preferences - Collaborate with the team to develop ideas for new products - Design sketches for new products with a design team - Create clothing patterns for mass production - Test and decide on fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures for each design - Oversee the production process, including fittings, pricing, and marketing - Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and models - Communicate technical design information for customer samples - Work with the team to design clothes for upcoming seasons - Select fabrics and trims - Create tech packs with detailed specifications - Develop CAD sketches to present to stakeholders - Oversee the prototype sample process - Work with the design team to create mood boards - Create cost sheets and product lists Qualifications Required: - Proven work experience as a Fashion Designer or similar role (1-4 years) - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator - Ability to do sketches by hand - Excellent design and conceptual skills - Bachelor's degree in design from NIFT/FDDI - Relevant training and/or certifications as a Fashion Designer Additional Details: This position offers full-time, permanent employment opportunities for both experienced professionals and freshers.
