As a Fashion Designer at Alka Hari, you will play a crucial role in bringing the ethos of quiet luxury to life through sophisticated and wearable garments that resonate with the brand's vision. Your responsibilities will include: - Concept Development: Creating seasonal mood boards, color palettes, and inspiration references that align with the brand's identity and customer profile. - Design Execution: Crafting womenswear pieces with a focus on clean lines, luxurious fabrics, and impeccable tailoring. - Fabric & Trim Selection: Sourcing high-quality, sustainable materials and trims that meet the brand's luxury standards. - Technical Development: Collaborating with pattern makers and sample rooms to ensure precision in fit, drape, and construction. - Collection Development: Building cohesive collections with strong narratives and commercial viability while balancing creativity with wearability. - Trend & Market Research: Staying informed on global fashion trends, consumer behavior, and emerging materials to maintain a timeless aesthetic. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering with production, merchandising, and marketing teams to uphold design integrity throughout the product development process. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field. - 3+ years of experience in designing womenswear, preferably in luxury or contemporary brands. - Strong portfolio showcasing minimalist, elevated womenswear designs. - Excellent understanding of garment construction, tailoring, and draping. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with 3D design tools is a plus. - Keen eye for detail, proportion, and fabric behavior. - Deep understanding of the quiet luxury space and a refined design sensibility. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
