Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Ensuing safe work permit conditions are met and arranging site clearances for all critical work permits
To identify physical unsafe conditions / practices and informing the concerned.
To organize APEX safety committee meetings once in three months this is a statutory requirement as a secretary to the body.
To organize surprise mock drills once in six months as per the statutory requirement.
To organize safety audit by 3rd party once in every year.
Conducting cross functional safety inspections in the plant by-monthly.
Organizing safety training classes by internal and external faculties.
Conducting safety promotional activities/safety week campaign & inviting factories dept. officials on valedictory function and prize distribution for competition winners.
Maintaining fire hydrant system in good condition with the help of other service Departments. Maintaining all fire gadgets intact.
Preparing month wise fire squad shift rosters and ensuring good attendance and organizing firefighting training by monthly on simulated fires by using different fire extinguishers.
Approving the quality of personal protective equipment.
Moving budgetary sanctions and implementation of developmental safety activities by using CAPEX budget.
Ensuring implementation of using PPEs by employees/contract workers.
Plant shut down jobs monitoring organizing pep talks for employees and contract workers.
Conducting pre-startup safety inspections for the plants and giving clearance after ensuring the compliance.
Supporting Environmental activities with respect to CFE/CFO/Hazardous waste Manifest etc.

Preferred candidate profile

Should have SBTET or Industrial Safety Certification.
