Assistant Electrical Design Manager

Electrical design and quality checking of electrical works for commercial, residential, hospitality and brewery projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand architectural drawings, structural drawings and site requirements before taking up design. 
• Interact and Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and site team to provide a good, safe and cost-effective electrical design conforming to relevant standards, norms and good engineering practice.
• Preparing Design Brief Report
• Design of electrical power distribution system for residential, commercial, hospitality and brewery projects.
• Electrical load calculations 
• All electrical calculations (fault level, earthing, cable sizing etc.)
• Optimum sizing electrical equipment.
• Prepare budgetary cost as well as detailed BOQ/estimate.
• Provide detailed design inputs to drafting person to prepare quality drawings, 
• Monitor progress & quality of drawings.
• Attending Design Review meetings with architects and project management team
• Quality Inspection for handing over of  units
• Slab conduit inspection for apartments/ villas
• Site inspection for Electrical work installation
• Equipment inspection  at vendors works
• Trouble shooting and resolving electrical tripping and other issues.
• Check shop drawings and technical details provided by vendors.  
• Support site team and monitor site activities and solve the site issues if any.
• Attend technical meetings.
• Documentation-Formally record each and every document produced and maintain records.
• Knowledge: Upgrade knowledge regularly and be aware of the latest developments in the field of electrical engineering, latest products and design.
• Basic knowledge of Revit and Autocad required

Construction Administration 

• Conduct quality checks and inspections at site during different stages of construction
• Assist and resolve Electrical issues during/after construction.

Compliance 

• Comply with all relevant standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with project timeline. 

Communication & Collaboration

• Communicate and coordinate with teams and departments to aid in architectural and engineering design. 
• Engage with other teams during the design and construction period

Qualification: 

BE in Electrical engineering with 1-3 years of experience in Electrical design of commercial, residential, hospitality and brewery projects.

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD / Revit / BIM/MS office software.
