Assistant Fashion Designer – EchoStudio

EchoStudio is a contemporary women's wear label specializing in western silhouettes with a strong focus on draped designs. We are looking for a talented Assistant Fashion Designer (intern or full-time) to join our team and contribute creatively to our upcoming collections.

Roles & Responsibility

• Assist in conceptualizing and developing fashion designs, with a focus on draping and fabric manipulation.
• Research fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques aligned with EchoStudio's design language.
• Work on fashion sketches, mood boards, and sample development (not graphic/visual design).
• Collaborate with sampling units, tailors, and production teams to translate sketches into garments.
• Maintain fashion design documentation, fabric swatches, and archives.

Requirements

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Fashion Design from a reputed design school (e.g., NIFT, NID, Pearl, London College of Fashion, Parsons, etc.).
• Prior experience or internship with renowned fashion designer brands is preferred.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, especially fluid textiles used for drapes.
• Must provide a fashion design portfolio showcasing draped garments and technical work (applications without fashion portfolios will not be considered).
• Excellent knowledge of garment construction and silhouettes.
• Creative mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced design studio.

Position

• Open for Internship or Full-time role (depending on profile).
• Competitive stipend/salary as per experience and background.
