Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in and independently perform laparoscopic, endoscopic, and bariatric surgical procedures under the guidance of senior consultants.
Evaluate patients for minimally invasive and bariatric procedures, including pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative care.
Participate in a wide range of general and specialized surgeries such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, sleeve gastrectomy, and gastric bypass.
Provide continuous patient monitoring in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring safe recovery and follow-up.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, dietitians, physiotherapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
Handle post-surgical complications and emergencies under protocol-based supervision.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation including operative notes, discharge summaries, and follow-up records.
Contribute to clinical audits, academic sessions, CMEs, and research publications within the department.
Uphold surgical safety, infection control, and hospital quality standards at all times.

Desired Candidate Profile

MS / DNB in General Surgery with fellowship or specialization in Minimal Access Surgery / Bariatric Surgery preferred.
4 to 8 years of relevant clinical and surgical experience.
Hands-on expertise in laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques; bariatric surgery exposure is an advantage.
Strong decision-making ability and sound clinical judgment.
Excellent communication, patient interaction, and team collaboration skills.
