Job Summary : The Academic Coordinator of the Pre-School is responsible for developing and overseeing the academic curriculum, guiding teachers in instructional practices, and ensuring that the learning environment meets developmental needs of children. The role requires a dynamic leader who understands early childhood education and is committed to building a nurturing and stimulating educational environment. Responsibilities : Design, plan, and oversee implementation of age-appropriate curriculum based on educational frameworks (e.g., Montessori, Play-Based Learning, etc.) Ensure curriculum aligns with national or state early childhood standards Develop yearly, monthly, and weekly lesson planning formats Integrate activities that support cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development Monitor classroom teaching to ensure quality, engagement, and alignment with curriculum Observe and assess teaching methods, offering constructive feedback and support Evaluate children’s developmental progress and recommend interventions when necessary Conduct orientation and ongoing training workshops for teachers and assistants Support teachers with teaching aids, lesson plans, and classroom strategies Organise and participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events Address concerns about children's academic or developmental progress Foster a collaborative teaching environment through regular staff meetings and peer evaluations Maintain academic records and reports Coordinate assessments and reporting schedules Assist in admissions process, school tours, and open houses Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards Qualifications : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a pre-school setting, preferably in a supervisory or coordinator role Strong knowledge of early childhood development theories and practices Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills Ability to mentor and guide a team of educators Proficient in Microsoft Office and educational technology tools
