Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Lead the
design, development, and maintenance
of COBOL programs on the AS400 platform.
Analyze COBOL batch programs
to extract and document business logic in BRDs.
Develop and optimize
SQL queries
, stored procedures, and file handling routines.
Perform
interactive and batch debugging
to resolve production and performance issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on
system enhancements and modernization
projects.
Provide
technical guidance, mentorship,
and ensure code quality standards.
Participate in
code reviews, system testing,
and deployment activities.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Proficiency in
COBOL/400

ILE COBOL

Strong experience with
DB2/400
and
IBM iSeries (AS400)
Expertise in
file handling

subfiles (screens)
