Artwork Operator

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Artwork Operator to join our packaging artwork creation team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and have hands-on experience in creating, modifying, and managing packaging artworks with an in-depth understanding of color workflows, Basic prepress standards, and print-ready file delivery.

Role & responsibilities:

• Create and modify packaging artwork files using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Work with template-based designs, ensuring consistent layout, compliance, and brand standards.
• To Create and Perform preflight checks in Illustrator and InDesign to ensure print-readiness and adherence to technical specifications.
• Replace and manage Pantone to CMYK, CYMK to Pantone shades conversions based on print requirements and color targets.
• Understanding on special colours like, UV ink, Gold, Silver etc
• Extract images and assets from Word or PDF documents and process them in Photoshop including RGB to CMYK conversion, resolution adjustments, and color corrections.
• Collaborate with QC, Regulatory/Market/Sites, and Design teams to implement change requests and finalize artworks when there is an deviation from Brand Guide/SOP.
• Ensure correct usage of style sheets, layers, and linked files across projects.
• Adhere to prepress requirements, including bleed, crop marks, trapping, font embedding, and image resolutions.
• Maintain file version control, asset naming conventions, and archiving standards.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 2+ years of experience in packaging artwork or prepress production
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (Mandatory)
• Familiar with Pantone color libraries, spot color vs CMYK workflows, and color correction techniques
• Skilled in template usage, preflight processes, and layout consistency checks
• Strong understanding of prepress and print production (offset, flexo, digital)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and file accuracy
• Understanding of style sheets, master pages, layers, and print-ready output
• Experience working in regulated industries like Pharma or CPG/FMCG is a plus
