Art and Craft Teacher – Job Description

Location: Samastipur, Bihar
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹25,000–₹30,000 per month

Experience: 1–2 years
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (in Fine Arts or related field preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and Lesson Planning
• Plan and conduct creative art and craft classes for students across different grades.
• Teach techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture, paper craft, and other art forms.
• Encourage students to express creativity and develop artistic skills.
• Curriculum and Activity Design
• Develop lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum and student age group.
• Organize art-related projects, exhibitions, and competitions.
• Introduce students to different art materials, media, and design principles.
• Classroom Management
• Maintain discipline and ensure a safe, organized workspace.
• Manage art supplies and maintain cleanliness in the art room.
• Motivate students to participate in co-curricular art and craft events.
• Student Evaluation and Guidance
• Assess students’ progress through practical work and participation.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
• Identify and nurture talented students for inter-school and state-level competitions.
• School Involvement
• Decorate classrooms and school premises for functions, exhibitions, and special occasions.
• Collaborate with teachers for art integration in other subjects and school projects.
• Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development sessions.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong artistic and creative abilities.
• Knowledge of various art techniques and materials.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to inspire and engage students of all age groups.
• Basic computer skills and interest in digital art (preferred).
