About the Role – Manager, Transaction Advisory (Finance & Tax) We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Manager to lead and execute engagements across finance, valuations, due diligence, and tax advisory. The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to founders and investors. Key Responsibilities a. Financial Retainerships Serve as a strategic financial partner to start-ups, overseeing budgeting, MIS reporting, cash flow, and investor communications. Build financial discipline and governance frameworks tailored for scaling businesses. b. Valuations Support valuations for fundraises, secondary transfers, and M&A transactions in compliance with the Income Tax Act, FEMA, and the Companies Act. c. Due Diligence Lead buy-side/sell-side due diligence projects including financial health checks, revenue/margin analysis, working capital assessments, and historical reviews. d. Tax Advisory Provide tax structuring advice for business models and transactions, including cross-border setups, holding structures, ESOPs, and exits. e. Client Management & Team Leadership Manage multiple client engagements with professionalism and responsiveness. Mentor junior colleagues and ensure high-quality deliverables. Qualifications CA with 4–6 years of relevant experience in transaction advisory at a mid-tier boutique advisory or in a start-up finance team with exposure to FP&A and fundraise projects. Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, financial modeling, and valuation principles. Proven track record in client servicing and team management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders. Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Job Description: Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets and cash flow statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Present financial reports (MIS) to management. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations. Prepare and file GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns on a monthly or quarterly basis as required. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management. Payroll Processing: Manage payroll including salary calculations, tax deductions, and statutory compliance such as PF, ESIC, etc. Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and to protect company assets. Vendor Management: Handle vendor invoicing, payments, reconciliation, and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance , or a related field. 2–3 years of post-graduation experience in accounting or financial roles. Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally , Zoho Books , or QuickBooks . Sound knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards and tax regulations . Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
