Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesSales and business development

Develop and execute business strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the agency channel within the assigned area.
Drive business generation for motor insurance products, both OEM and non-OEM, ensuring the right product mix is maintained.
Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay informed on market trends.
Own the profit and loss (P&L) for the area and manage the budget effectively.

Team leadership and management

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales managers and advisors to achieve their individual and collective sales targets.
Set clear performance goals for the team and provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
Foster a high-performance culture within the team and build a pipeline of future leaders.

Recruitment and training

Drive the recruitment and onboarding of a network of insurance advisors or agents in the assigned territory.
Provide regular training and skill development sessions to the agency force on product knowledge, sales techniques, and market trends.
Ensure that all agents are properly licensed and comply with regulatory guidelines.

Agency relationship management

Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with new and existing agency partners.
Serve as a point of contact for channel partners to address their issues and ensure a smooth business process.
Manage stakeholder relationships by collaborating with underwriting, claims, and other functions.

Operational excellence

Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics for agents and the team.
Oversee business operations and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Monitor the renewal ratio and work to maintain a healthy mix of new and old business.
