As an Area Sales Manager for an FMCG company operating in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Delhi, your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute sales strategies aimed at achieving revenue targets within your assigned area. You will focus on expanding the market for tea products, and part of your role will involve leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of sales representatives to ensure they meet individual and team sales goals. In this role, you will be expected to identify and explore new business opportunities, including potential retailers, distributors, and strategic partnerships in your region. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners will also be crucial to ensuring long-term partnerships and business growth. Monitoring sales performance, analyzing data, and providing regular reports to management on market trends, competition, and performance metrics will be part of your routine tasks. You will work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute in-store promotions, product launches, and merchandising strategies. Efficient distribution and availability of products are essential, and you will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain and ensuring timely deliveries to retail outlets. Managing area sales budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maximizing sales performance, is another key aspect of the role. Staying informed about competitor products, pricing strategies, and market activity will be necessary to provide insights and recommendations for adjusting sales approaches. Additionally, providing ongoing training and support to the sales team to enhance their skills and product knowledge will be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the FMCG industry. Experience in the tea, spices, and detergent sector is highly preferred. A proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market expansion will be beneficial for this role.
