Area Sales Manager (Animal Nutrition)

As the Area Sales Manager for Animal Nutrition products, you will be responsible for a specific HQ location. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) or Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM), you will lead a team of 5-6 Sales Officers. Your primary responsibilities will include developing potential markets for Cattle Feed products, establishing and expanding distribution networks in targeted markets, tracking purchase and sales activities with channel partners, and creating awareness among customers. You will also be required to analyze competitors" activities to enhance brand and market value. Managing and hiring team members across different locations in alignment with the company's vision will be a key aspect of your role. Setting sales targets for individual Sales Officers and the team, maintaining and increasing product sales, and achieving set targets within your area are crucial objectives. You will need to focus on expanding the customer base, servicing the needs of existing customers, and exploring new business opportunities through various market routes. Developing innovative sales strategies, providing support to team members to help them achieve their targets, and possibly handling major customer accounts directly are part of your responsibilities. Conducting customer feedback analysis, market research, and implementing brand promotional activities will also be essential tasks. Additionally, you will play a critical role in meeting regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and taking corrective actions as needed.
