Job Title: Area Sales Manager


Job Mode :- Delhi / Ahmedabad


Position in the organization:

The Area Sales Manager is accountable to the Country Manager and works in close cooperation with the back office, service, administration and secretariat.


Aim of job:

To provide technical and commercial advice to customers in the area of responsibility for the sales of measurement and control instruments, and to offer customer-specific solutions.


The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the following tasks:

- actively acquiring new customers, and managing and expanding relations with existing customers in the area of responsibility;

- drawing up an inventory of customer wishes and requirements. and aligning these with technical or other opportunities.

- developing customer-specific solutions in cooperation with the customer.

- issuing suitable offers in cooperation with the back office.

- following and monitoring the progress of existing projects (offer and order procedure)

- registering customer visits and monitoring turnover

- negotiating sales agreements (prices, discounts, conditions)

- signalling and keeping track of market trends and product and sales opportunities, and transforming these into concrete actions.

- on a monthly basis, analysing results and identifying and resolving problem areas

- on an annual basis, drafting the M&S budget for the area of responsibility in cooperation with the Country Manager.

- providing training programmes on site and supervising product training programmes in Ruurlo.

- acting as an intermediary when handling customer complaints.

- contributing towards the formulation of sales policy.

- participating in and visiting trade fairs and network meetings.

- providing the Sales Manager with advice upon request and whenever necessary.


Responsibilities

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for:

- targets as periodically agreed by Country Manager.

- managing and expanding relations with existing customers, and successfully acquiring new customers

- advising customers correctly about measurement and control instruments and customer-specific solutions

- providing the right information at the right time for issues raised by customers

- signalling and keeping track of opportunities on the market;

- ensuring good cooperation with back office employees in the interest of the offer and order procedure.
