Area Credit Manager-CEQ-Credit Appraisal-Delhi

As an Underwriter for corporate finance business in the designated area, your role involves supporting and co-partnering with business teams to manage end-to-end credit approval processes. Your key responsibilities include: - Underwriting cases and presenting them to senior management for approval. - Authorizing deviations raised and documented by underwriters in compliance with credit policy. - Finalizing reviews of credit memos prepared by underwriters, and providing approval/decline sign-offs on every file after ensuring documentation requests are met. - Approving all disbursement requests based on adherence to agreement value requirements and full documentation attainment at the branch level. - Monitoring and overseeing Personal Discussion Document (PDD) management, ensuring timely completion through customer visits in high-value cases. - Initiating follow-ups with external vendors (FI, Legal & Technical valuations) to ensure timely query resolution/report submission and eliminate any delays. - Coordinating with the recoveries team to generate business insights. - Leading a team of credit approvers to ensure portfolio quality and manage delinquencies. - Engaging in the development, implementation, review, and monitoring of various credit programs, providing training and coaching to upgrade team competency and improve processing efficiency. - Ensuring due diligence in credit analysis, customer application screening, evaluation, underwriting, and sanctioning of loans. - Evolving underwriting norms tailored to local market needs and continuously enhancing and executing consumer credit risk strategy. Qualifications required for this role include an MBA/PGDBA/PGPM/CA or equivalent qualification.,
