ARC WELDER

Job Title: Arc Welder

Location: Project Site (e.g., Refinery / Pipeline / Fabrication Yard)

Employment Type: Contract / Project-based

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) on structural, piping, and fabrication work in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform SMAW welding as per approved weld procedures and engineering drawings.

· Inspect weld joints for quality and compliance with standards (visual & dimensional checks).

· Maintain welding equipment and consumables; report defects immediately.

· Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times.

· Coordinate with QA/QC and supervision to ensure accepted weld quality.

· Submit daily welding reports and log sheets.

Qualifications & Experience:

· 10th / ITI / Diploma in Welding Technology or equivalent trade certification.

· Minimum 2+ years experience in industrial arc welding (structural/piping) on heavy engineering projects.

· Ability to read technical drawings and weld symbols.

Skills & Attributes:

· Strong knowledge of welding safety and quality practices.

· Physical stamina to work in industrial conditions.
