Apps Development Sr Manager - C13 - CHENNAI

As a Java Devops Architect, your role involves establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your primary objective is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Here are your key responsibilities: - Setting up consistent CI/CD and Application Lifecycle management processes - Maintaining and upkeeping environment and infrastructure - Providing Technical support for Production and UAT Issues (Level3) - Supporting application tuning and debugging strategies - Managing release management - Taking ownership of incidents and application problems - Collaborating with various stakeholders and support teams - Partnering with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions and identify necessary system enhancements - Resolving high-impact problems/projects through evaluation of complex business processes and system standards - Providing expertise in applications programming and ensuring application design aligns with the overall architecture blueprint - Utilizing advanced knowledge of system flow and developing coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards - Developing comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish goals - Providing in-depth analysis and innovative solutions - Evaluating and implementing niche technologies for Trade services and broader FX tech Qualifications required for this role include: - 15+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role - Hands-on experience in Java/JEE, Spring boot, etc. - Experience in microservices architecture and Docker Containerization - Knowledge of Web/App servers (e.g., Weblogic/Websphere) and Message Brokers - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Git/Jenkins), Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), and deployment tools - Proficiency in container management tools (e.g., Kubernetes and Openshift) - Strong debugging skills - Basic RDBMS administration and SQL skills - Experience in handling tech support teams across Trade processing applications - Experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB (an added advantage) - Managing and implementing successful projects - Working knowledge in FX, Money Market, Fixed Income, and Derivative products (an added advantage) - Ability to adjust priorities quickly and demonstrated leadership and project management skills - Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Education required for this role: - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience - Masters degree preferred This job description provides a high-level overview of the work performed.
