Application Support Engineer __ 7 To 12 Years_ Immediate Joiner

Key Responsibilities

Application Support (80%)

• Provide L3 support for enterprise applications hosted on Windows Server platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to IIS, Windows Services, and application performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for issue resolution and system enhancements.
• Manage incidents, problems, and changes using ITIL-aligned processes.
• Oversee Windows patching cycles and ensure compliance with security and audit standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for support procedures, known issues, and resolutions.

DevOps & Automation (20%)

• Assist in the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps.
• Support infrastructure automation using basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Participate in deployment activities and release management.
• Work with DevOps teams to enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience in L3 application support within Windows Server environments (

  non-negotiable

  ).
• Strong knowledge of:
• Windows Server administration
• IIS configuration
• Windows Services
• Legacy Microsoft ecosystems (e.g., .NET 2.0/3.5, IIS 7.0)
• Experience with Windows patching and update management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
• Basic understanding of DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, version control, scripting).
• Exposure to AWS and containerisation is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.
