Application Engineering Tech Lead

In this role as a Senior Manager, Application Engineering Technical Lead at EY, you will be leading a team that provides the most senior level IT technical lead services across platforms. Your responsibilities will include overseeing secure API integration, aligning architecture with user and enterprise goals, and driving software documentation standards. Here are some key responsibilities you will be entrusted with: - Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop the crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions. - Provide the most senior level IT technical lead and architecture services for critical projects on multiple platforms. Provide technical expertise and complete complex development, design, implementation, and maintenance activities. - Lead and ensure the viability of IT deliverables. Provide development and architectural options, conduct testing, and provide production support for products. - Identify potential solutions, approve technical solutions proposed by team members, and resolve technical problems in a timely manner. - Communicate with key stakeholders on project issues, evaluate change requests, and maintain a current knowledge of IT development methodology and technical standards. - Review and approve documentation, identify opportunities for quality improvement, and develop code and test artifacts. - Oversee data flow integration between multiple APIs and systems, drive cross-functional collaboration, and establish software documentation standards. To qualify for this role, you must have: - Minimum 14 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role focusing on application engineering. - A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Proven experience in leading technical teams, proficiency in programming languages, software architecture, design patterns, development methodologies, cloud platforms, containerization technologies, databases, and data modeling.
