Application Engineer

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases (CE&IG) India, a subsidiary of Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Group) and incorporated in India, is currently looking for a skilled Application Engineer to enhance our dynamic team in Nikkiso CE&IG India. As an Application Engineer, your primary role involves preparing quotations for various inquiries, ranging from budget to purchase phase, ensuring timely submissions and responses. You will serve as the main point of contact for customers during the sales stage, collaborating closely with the local Sales Manager. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare technical selection and scope of supply aligning with customers" technical requirements. - Review project specifications, compile deviations list, and respond to technical clarifications from customers. - Create cost estimates and quotations (price and delivery) based on technical selections and clarifications. - Coordinate with other departments and suppliers to meet quotation-specific requirements. - Contribute to AE tools development. - Engage in domestic and international travel for customer meetings. Qualifications: - Proficiency in the English language. - Strong time management skills to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent client-facing and teamwork capabilities. - Preferably experience in rotating equipment/centrifugal pumps. - Ability to prepare bids/proposals and interpret bid/proposal specifications technically and commercially. - Proficiency in MS Office. - Familiarity with 3D CAD software, SOLIDWORKS preferred. - Experience with ERP systems is an advantage. Experience & Education: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is a prerequisite. - 3 to 5+ years of professional experience is mandatory. - Relevant industry experience is highly desirable. The qualifications mentioned above are typically acquired through the stated education and experience levels. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience that equips an applicant with the necessary skills and knowledge may also be considered. This position does not entail direct supervisory responsibilities and operates in a standard professional office environment utilizing equipment like laptops, photocopiers, and smartphones. While fulfilling job duties, the employee may need to communicate effectively and possess specific vision abilities. Physical demands may include lifting files, accessing filing cabinets, and adjusting focus as required.
